Paediatric First Aid

This course will teach participants how to effectively deliver First Aid care to young children and infants. The Paediatric First Aid course has been designed to cover a broad base of topics that include pediatric, accident, illnesses as well as choking and cardiac arrest. Participants will learn practical skills and theoretical knowledge, so that they can deal competently with any situation that may arise in the working or home environment.

Accident scene assessment
CPR for young children and infants
AED for children and infants
Dealing with Allergies
Burns & Scalds
Asthma, Meningitis, Febrile Seizures, Epilepsy, Diabetes
Choking and obstruction of the airways
Bleeding control and wound dressing
Fractures and tissue damage
Course of action in an emergency

Assessment: Short theory test and practical skills assessment

Certification: Choice Training & Consultancy Certificate in Paediatric First Aid
