Covid-19 Return to Work Safely Checklist

There is so much information available regarding coronavirus COVID-19 return to work safely guidance, that it can be daunting.  The Government Return to Work Safely Protocol and the COVID-19 Retail Protection Improvement Guide provide some good guidance for business owners and managers. Here is a checklist of some of the key things that have been communicated. It’s important to bear in mind every business is different and should take appropriate measures based on a risk assessment of their business.

Covid-19 Return to Work Safely Checklist 

  • Develop a documented Covid-19 Response Plan
  • Plan to deal with a suspected case of COVID-19 & business continuity
  • Review risk assessment & safety statement specifically to include COVID-19Return to Work safely protocol
  • Eliminate physical interaction as far as is reasonably practicable
  • Provide Sanitiser at entry and exit points
  • Install physical barrier where appropriate
  • Implement a thorough cleaning routine
  • Visual signage should be displayed as appropriate
  • Appoint COVID-19 lead worker representative/s
  • All staff must be trained / complete COVID-19 induction including hygiene training
  • Appropriate PPE provision and training
  • Appoint and provide training to your COVID-19 Manager or Compliance Officer
  • Employee return to work declaration / questionnaire
  • Contractor / Visitor health questionnaire
  • Revised cleaning procedures

Note: This list is not exhausted and this is still a rapidly changing situation and it is vital to keep update with the latest HSA, HSE and Government guidance and protocols to ensure your employees can return to work safely.
