Manual Handling Training is essential mandatory training for all workplaces. It is hugely beneficial when looking for work experience or seeking part -time or summer jobs. 33% of employee absences from work for more than 3 days are attributed to Manual Handling injury’s (HSA).
Our hands-on Manual Handling training courses are adapted to reflect the working environments of course participants. We deliver this course all over Ireland for companies in all industries.
Course Objective:
Our practical hands on courses are designed to give participants the knowledge and skills to conduct manual handling in a safe manner to prevent injury and meet the requirements of Health, Safety & Welfare at Work Act 2005, General Application Regulations 2007.

- Anatomy & Back care
- Common back injuries
- Study of Bio-mechanics
- Risk Assessment
- Looking after your back outside work
- Fitness & Exercise
- Practical demonstrations relevant to workplace
- Assessment
The course usually consists of a 50/50 split between theory and practical. It is tailored to suit the industry of the trainees.
All courses are delivered by a qualified QQI Level 6 Instructor.
Assessment:
Short written test and skills demonstration.
Course Duration: 2.5hours
Certification: Certified by Choice Training & Consultancy after successful completion of manual handling training and assessments.
